From Water Testing to Salt Pickup—Our New Location Has It All!

Maybe you’ve already seen our newsletter about it, but we have big news: we’ve opened our new Angel Water facility in Barrington, IL! But this isn’t just a carbon copy of our existing location—we’ve outfitted it with a whole host of new features and services!

From on-site water testing to a water bar where you can sample waters from around the world, our many new features address a broad range of potential needs to further improve our ability to help you secure and maintain a water supply that’s healthy, clean, and tastes great.

On-Site Water Testing Services

If you’re looking for water treatment solutions, then you probably aren’t satisfied with the current state of your drinking water. But even if you suspect that your water could and should be better than it is, you may not know what exactly is wrong with it.

Is your water picking up lead from your city’s old lead pipes? Is your water coming from a private well that needs a chlorination system? Is hard water making your skin get dry, itchy, and irritated? Or does your water contain some other dangerous toxin like volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or waterborne bacteria?

While you might be able to figure out what’s wrong with your water with some of those issues that make easily-identifiable symptoms appear, many toxins like lead, mercury, and others have no taste, color, or smell, making it impossible for you to detect them on your own.

That’s why, before you can even begin to compare options for what to buy or how to correct your issues, you need to have water testing done to determine what’s wrong with your water and what needs to be done.

But having someone come take a sample of your water, take it to a lab, and then send you the results can take a while—and during all that time, you have to live with possibly unsafe water.

By offering on-site water testing, we remove that hassle, so you can bring your water in, get water testing on the spot, and immediately start looking at products based on the results, all without missing a beat.

Salt and Water Drive-Through Pickup

In addition to our water testing service, another service meant to help you get clean water with less hassle is our drive-through pickup for salt and water.

If you have a water softener in your home, or a drinking water system that includes one, it uses lots of salt. In order to keep the water softener running smoothly from month to month, you need to make frequent trips to the store to buy big 50-pound bags of salt—often around four of them, which means you then have to haul 200 pounds of salt from the shelves to the register, from the store to your car, and from your car into your home.

We eliminate a large portion of the effort involved in this process with our drive-through salt pickup. Simply pull into our indoor drive-through, and without you even having to get out of the car, we load the salt bags into your vehicle while you enjoy a glass of our high-quality water. This way, you save yourself both time and back pain.

In other instances, there may be something preventing you from being able to get a drinking water system even though your water is unclean. Such situations require you to regularly buy bottled water, and if you’re supplying water for a whole family or workplace, maybe you buy those large 5-gallon jugs.

These are heavy and can be a pain to haul around just like the salt bags. But more importantly, you don’t always really know the quality of bottled water, despite all the marketing claims about it being the purest water ever.

But if you stop by in our drive-through, we’ll load up your car with clean, crisp, high-quality bottled water, so you don’t have to lug those big heavy water jugs to your car yourself. It’s the most convenient way to get good water—aside from having a home system, of course.

Water Bar Featuring Waters of the World

If you’ve lived here your whole adult life, you probably think the way water tastes here is just how water tastes generally.

But what does water from Hawaii taste like? Or Maine? What about water from other countries like New Zealand, Iceland, or Italy? Or water from the Andes mountains, or water that’s filtered through six layers of volcanic rock?

Without something to compare it to, you may not know what your water should taste like or what you want out of it. Different mineral compositions have different tastes and “mouth feels,” something you’re probably aware of already. But since you can’t do this sitting at home, this is a rare opportunity to see what water is like for people in other parts of the world and what makes water taste good to you.

In other words, while water testing helps you identify what you don’t want in your water, our water bar will help you identify what you do want in your water. This then gives you the option of looking at water treatment systems that make your water more closely resemble water from these different sources.

Once you have a basic idea of what you want to change about your water, you can start sorting through your choices. And that’s made easy with our new showroom, which is fully equipped with everything you need to make an informed decision.

Our showroom, similar to one you might find at a car dealership, contains examples of every model we offer, including:

When deciding on what you want and need, it can be a big help to have all your choices laid out in front of you, rather than hidden in various tabs in your computer where you’re trying to compare them. This space aims to do just that.

Educational Materials Provided

Deciding how to spend your hard-earned money on something you don’t know an awful lot about can be stressful. What are the differences between these models, really? Sometimes it can feel like you need to be an expert to understand this equipment, and you don’t really know what you’re doing, leaving you at the mercy of whoever’s trying to sell to you.

That’s why we have various educational materials throughout our showroom, explaining various aspects of water treatment including water testing, what different contaminants do, and how the systems work. The information is presented in easy-to-understand infographics, posters, and brochures.

Knowledge is power, and with a better understanding of water treatment systems, you’ll be back in control of your buying decisions.
